JIN HAO LI (UK)

Jin Hao Li is a comedian and writer, born in China and raised in Singapore, who has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting new voices in British comedy.

‍

Known for his dry humour, understated storytelling and slightly absurd energy, he won the Chortle Best Newcomer Award and was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer.

‍

His debut show Swimming in a Submarine sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe before travelling to venues including Soho Theatre in London and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He has also appeared on Channel 4, Comedy Central and ITV.

‍

Expect intelligent, deadpan comedy that is surprising, strange and very funny.

SHARRIF SIMMONS (US)

Sharrif Simmons is a poet, musician, writer and arts educator whose career spans more than three decades. His artistic journey began at Liberation Bookstore in Harlem, the legendary bookshop founded by his aunt Una Mulzac, which became an important cultural hub for the community.

Often described as the Gil Scott-Heron of his generation, Simmons draws inspiration from artists including The Last Poets, Bob Marley, Bill Withers, Jimi Hendrix and Rage Against the Machine.

‍

Combining poetry, storytelling and acoustic guitar, he has performed at festivals and venues across Europe and the United States.

RASHI AGARWAL (NL)

Rashi Agarwal is an Indian stand-up comedian and storyteller based in Amsterdam. With a sharp and disarming eye, she takes a close look at Dutch culture and effortlessly dissects our everyday habits — even something as innocent as a cheese sandwich isn’t safe.

‍

Her comedy explores identity, feminism, colonialism, racism and sustainability, always with plenty of self-awareness and sharp observations. Her videos about life in the Netherlands have gone viral, earning her a rapidly growing international audience.

‍

Expect smart, fresh and highly relatable comedy.

YOUSRA BENFQUIH (BE)

Yousra Benfquih is a writer, poet and spoken word artist and a familiar face on the Belgian literary and performance scene.

‍

Her work has appeared in publications including Kluger Hans, DW B, De Revisor, Hard//Hoofd and De Gids, and has received multiple awards and nominations.

‍

Her work combines poetry, personal experience and social engagement into performances that are sharp, vulnerable and captivating.

HOST: NADINE FROUGHI (NL)

Nadine Froughi is a stand-up comedian who is half Iranian, half American, grew up in the UK and is now largely based in the Netherlands.

‍

She combines stand-up comedy with music and visual elements to create a live experience her mother once described as “fantastic”.

‍

She appeared in NTR’s Ramadan Bites and was twice a finalist in the English Comedy Talent Award.

Nadine lives and works in Amsterdam.

ABOUT ‘NUFF SAID

For the past 18 years, ‘Nuff Said has brought together comedy, music, poetry and spoken word on stages across Belgium and the Netherlands.

‍

What started in Antwerp has grown into a travelling format with shows in Genk, Turnhout, Leuven, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

‍

Every edition features a fresh line-up and a different mix of established and emerging voices.
